Who is LE Travels?

My name is Lauryn and I live and work full time in Atlanta, Georgia. My husband Eric is both my husband and travel partner (and photographer when I need him).

Since we both have full-time corporate jobs, our time spent exploring the world is limited. But where there’s a will there’s a way and that has made me somewhat of an expert in fitting a ridiculous amount of destinations and activities in a short amount of time.

What’s with the name?

Naming a blog is hard work. I wanted something simple, yet meaningful. LE Travels (“LUH Travels”) is a play on words and stemmed from my love of the French language and culture (ever noticed how I sign each post with “Bisous”?). Le Travels in French means “The Travels”. My name starts with an L and my husband’s name starts with an E. So instead of just naming it “Le Travels”, I capitalized both the L and the E to create the multi-dimensional name LE Travels.

People call my blog L-E Travels all the time (pronouncing the L and the E separate) which works too. But now you know how the name came to be and exactly how I intended for it to be pronounced.

A travel blogging passion

Traveling and writing have always been passions of mine. From the initial planning to writing out every detail of our trips, I love every second. Becoming a travel blogger came naturally to me and I love the rush of excitement that I feel with every post I publish.

Travel to me is something I could never live without. Personally, travel has made me more confident and has taught me so much about the world. I’ve experienced so many different cultures, religions, and ways of life. I enjoy bringing those experiences to you in my posts in hopes that maybe you’ll discover a new place you never thought about visiting before.

What sets LE Travels apart from other travel blogs is the level of detail I put into each post. I don’t just tell you where you need to go. I go further and explain how to get there, how much it’s going to cost, and I’m transparent about what to expect based on my own personal experiences. Do I get everything right with every part of our trips? Absolutely not. But I’m upfront about our travel mistakes in my posts and explain what happened so that you don’t have to make those same mistakes.

Thank you.

I truly appreciate each and every person who takes the time to read this blog. It’s something I’m proud of and I hope that it brings joy and maybe a little bit of helpfulness to everyone looking to explore more of the world on their own.
